Only McQueen

I love that this is the picture you see when you go to Alexander McQueen's website, so much art mixed with so much elegance. I know I'm a bit obsessed but Sarah Burton is my 2010 hero, she's done an impeccable job taking over the label under such tragic circumstances and created absolutely beautiful clothes. She not only kept the McQueen genius we love alive, she did so with compassion as my bff Molly put it and I for one am excited to see what comes next...The art of fashion lives on!

These shots for YSL's S/S '11 ad campaign are absolutely stunning, the decision to shoot them in the gardens of Bled Roknine, a 30's style villa in Marrakech purchased by the late designer and his partner in the 80's was genius. It's the perfect place to spotlight these gorgeous clothes.

Balenciaga S/S '11

With so much 50's & 60's retro fashion still at the forefront this Balenciaga ad definitely caught my eye. The outfit is so masculine and chic with a dash of 80's punk rock, its a nice take on mens wear and definitely a look for my spring wardrobe, the watch seals the deal! (Although personally I would tuck my shirt in all the way). For those of you that might not be leaning towards this style can we at least agree that Gisele's hair this length is so fricken cute?!

Tom Ford Sunglasses

I'm really liking Mr. Ford's 2011 spring lenses. Very modern and sleek yet there's a few retro looks as well, makes for a nice selection and definitely something to look forward to in the coming months.

P.S. Great news! San Diego Magazine named La Feem one of 5 design blogs to watch in 2011 along with Fern and Feather, Not Your Average Ordinary, San Diego Songbirds and Mrs. Lilien. The honor itself is amazing but it's also so cool that three of the four other bloggers are my good friends, I need to meet Mrs. Lilien pronto! (Yes, I'm in San Diego, I know I've been private about the whole thing but this year has slowly brought me out of my shell. I grew up here and love my town, there's more amazing artists and designers living here than anyone in the world realizes....I predict the next decade is going to give SD it's deserved props!)

This editorial takes my breath away, all three photos are incredible but the first actually made my heart skip a beat. They have such an artistic and vintage look with the most unbelievable clothing and that hair! I'm so awe struck that I feel like this is a Christmas present sent from the Fashion Gods via Elle Brasil....(I must manifest wearing couture in a castle.)

Harry Winston Jewels

I don't think I've ever seen Freja look prettier than in this gorgeous ad campaign for Harry Winston shot by the amazing Patrick Demarchelier. The jewels are stunning and I continue to dream of styling Kate Middleton, she would look fabulous in all of them but she would look perfect in the blue sapphire set.

I Love Velvet

I'm not usually one to go for big 70's inspired collars but in this case it not only works for me it's blowing my mind. I love velvet and this skirt, blouse combo is incredible, pairing it with the sweater, belt and dark nails is genius.
