Paris Part Two

    Valentino Magic

The clothes that continued to flow from Paris were stunning.  In part one we saw a lot of industrial, bold, geometric and wearable clothes, here in part two shear romance takes center stage along with some very thoughtful pieces. Valentino played with the light and the dark mixing it all with a dash of red.  It was modern art runway style and I thought the collection was amazing

The frocks at Stella McCartney were beautiful, flirty and might I say risque.....that girl knows how to do sexy in any season.  They had a modern etherial look and personally I really want the orange dress.

Below are some pieces from Christian Dior that I liked, John Galliano might have gotten slack for the collection being repetitive and old fashion but I tend to be drawn to that tomboyish sexy equestrian look.  I do love how he shows day clothes for proper ladies and dresses for the night that seemed to have been influenced by the bordello....whatever the inspiration they are gorgeous.

Lastly I would like to pay tribute to Alexander McQueen.  Here are images from his collection, the clothes are stunning, artistic and of course extremely dramatic.  Nobody did the art of fashion better than McQueen and although at times he was really dark for me I always knew he was genius.  It shows though that the kind of darkness that plagued him will eat anyone alive, may we all learn from his life to be aware of ourselves, the energies we harbor and the paths that we take.  There is forever a void in high fashion for his work was truly one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.  May he rest in peace.
